El-Jamal describes how Friends–Chicago plans to virtually connect with families.

Our Program Director, Seth El-Jamal, was featured in an article from Crain's Chicago Business, where he describes how our seven Friends continue to mentor 56 youth, despite the coronavirus and the need to stay-at-home and not meet face-to-face. Friends of the Children–Chicago had to completely reimagine our service model to account for the impacts of COVID-19. Here's a preview of the article:

The coronavirus has upended that model, pushing El-Jamal and his employer to start serving parents, helping them apply for low-cost loans and rent assistance, find food and home-schooling support or connect them with resources like the Chicago Furniture Bank.
